Past pupils raised the money for this hall through the 1980s, and it opened on 13 August 1994. It seats 727, with 556 downstairs and 171 in the balcony, and the stage is a 37 foot square of wood. Two upright pianos can be hired with the room. The entrance is on Perahera Mawatha, and the school it belongs to, founded in 1875, has its gate on Boyd Place.
