The building is a former Ayurvedic hospital from the Dutch era, about 200 years old, and it was converted in 2016. It stands on Beach Road in Madiha, a village on the south coast just outside Matara, and runs as a bar and restaurant with two dorm rooms and eight bungalows behind. Resident Advisor lists it as a club. A DJ night runs every Wednesday under the name Surf Camp, and the SOLA electronic festival took over the site for two days in January 2026.
