About
President's College is a government school in Minuwangoda. It is also known as Janadipathi Vidyalaya, and before that it was Japalawaththa Central College. Bennet Gunasekara, the town's member of parliament at the time, founded it on 9 February 1979. It runs from grade 6 to 13, takes about 180 pupils a year through the national scholarship exam, and has around 1,900 on roll.
