Maps and listings file it as a sports venue rather than a place for music, but it has taken at least one big ticketed show: a Sinhala concert billed as a second edition, on 24 July 2026. The Sri Lanka Air Force base is a few hundred metres east. The cricket ground of the same name at Katunayake is a different place.
