About
The theatre is a semicircle of seats under the trees inside Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo's oldest and largest public green, in Cinnamon Gardens facing the colonial-era Town Hall. The British laid it out as Victoria Park, and it is now named after King Dutugemunu's mother. Concerts and public events are staged in the theatre. The Colombo Municipal Council maintains the park.
